Redwood Springs Healthcare Center is a 176 bed skilled nursing facility, located in the heart of California’s Central Valley. Located within a short driving distance from Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park, this area attracts tourists, serious hikers, campers, and fishermen as well as weekend recreationalists. Visalia also is home to some of the richest and most fertile farmland in the world, producing agricultural commodities that are enjoyed locally and abroad.
The area is also home to an increasingly aging population that is need of post-acute healthcare services. Redwood Springs is positioned for the future-one that will represent services in a nursing facility to over 40% of all seniors over 65. The facility underwent a complete $2.5 million renovation in 2010-2011 and added features to promote access to technology and to provide the highest quality of amenities to further meet the needs of increasingly savvy and educated healthcare consumers
Redwood Springs has firmly established itself as the highest quality long term care facility in the region. With the addition of new an in-patient therapy wing, a sophisticated software system with touchscreen charting for nursing staff for ease of use and to provide “real time” tools to caregivers, flat screen televisions for all of its 176 patient rooms, 2 new beautifully created outdoor therapy parks, and a host of beautifully redesigned and upgraded décor, it is postured as the facility of choice by residents, families, Doctors, and employees.

Brandon Bigelow
Administrator
I was born in Castro Valley, CA, near Oakland and then moved to Modesto, CA in 1981. I completed my BS degree in Political Science/Economics from The University of Utah in 1996 and my Masters Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fresno in 1999. I have been involved in Health Care Administration since 1997 worked in Outpatient and Orthopedic Care practices, but have spent the majority of that time in Skilled Nursing Facilities. I have been married to Kathryn since 1993 and we are raising six children (3 girls, 3 boys) ranging in ages from 2 to 17. I love to golf, snow ski, and playing sports with my kids. I am most proud of my children and the wonderful people they are becoming.

Elaine Lutz
Director of Nursing
I have worked in the health care field for over 30 years. I have experience in the acute setting of ICU, but primarily in LTC as DON, DSD, State Surveyor, and Regional Consultant. I reside in Coarsgoald, CA where I enjoy boating, fishing, and spending time with my family. I began my journey with Redwood Springs in January 2013 and look forward to a great journey here.

Brent Treichel
COTA/Facility Rehab Director
I was born in Sacramento, CA. I was raised in the Central San Joaquin valley and competed nationally in Tennis, road racing, and basketball while attending Fresno State University. I then began my career as a Certified Occupational Therapy assistant in 1997. I was then promoted to rehab management in 1998 here at Redwood Springs. I then completed my bachelors degree in Management and Organizational Development in 2000. I have truly enjoyed working in long term care and feel blessed to have a career that is my true passion. My other interests include wakeboarding, weight lifting, riding atvs, and motor sports. I feel fortunate to be surrounded by coworkers and an organization here at Redwood Springs which provides the tools and support to facilitate the best Rehabilitation experience and quality of care for our residents.

Cindy Carter
Director of Admissions/Customer Relations
I was born in Bakersfield, CA and raised in Exeter, CA. I graduated from Exeter High School and attended Golden State Business College. I have been employed in the Healthcare Field since 1996, but found my home in 2010 at Redwood Springs. I enjoy working with our residents and their families. I enjoy being outdoors boating, camping, fishing, wakeboarding and softball but most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family and my two dogs.

Nicole Phines
Marketing Director
I was born in Medford, Oregon but only lived there for a short time before relocating with my parents and sister first to Dinuba and then, at 7 years old, to Exeter, CA. I graduated from Exeter High School in 1991 and worked mainly in Probation/Corrections and the Juvenile Group Home setting before restarting my education in Human Resource Administration in 2006 at San Joaquin Valley College. My career at Redwood Springs Healthcare Center started in December of 2008 in Payroll and HR and over the last 4 years, has literally changed the course of my life. I have a deep and personal belief in this facility, its purpose, staff, and leadership. I have never worked in a more rewarding setting than this, with our seniors and I know I speak for our entire team at Redwood Springs when I say that it is a pleasure and honor to serve these people at this time in their lives in any way that we can, be it however small. I have been blessed with two beautiful little girls and enjoy most of all spending my free time with them. I also enjoy playing cards and board games, traveling, riding motorcycles, and going to the theatre.

Debra Cain
Social Services Director
Born in Exeter, Calif raised in Woodlake. Graduated from Woodlake High School. I enjoy country music and line dancing and spending time with my family outdoors. We enjoy camping in the mountains. I have been employeed in the healthcare field since 1998 as a Social Services Dir and Admissions Coordinator. My passion is our residents, staff and families. One of my many favorite things at Redwood Springs Healthcare Center is working with our amazing staff who are very compassionate and who are responsive and supportive to the needs of our residents during there stay at Redwood Springs.

Pauline Bolding
Business Office Manager
I am a 1978 graduate of Dinuba High School. After school I worked for the Army Recruiters office, Dinuba Library and Dinuba District Warehouse. I was in the Civil Air Patrol program out of Fresno, which we did search and rescue missions, directed traffic on Memorial day in Fresno, and a lot more. Went to work for Dinuba Convalescent and got C.N.A. License, did that for approximately seven years. Before that I was a forklift driver. Went to Visalia Adult School and got my certificate in Accounting.Worked as an Apartment Complex Manager for 10 different buildings, then in 1993 I answered an ad for Acct. Payable and have been here since. Started Acct. Rec. in 1996 and the owner at that time, a close friend over the years, was a father figure. My heart is in this building, residents and the staff.

Norma Hurick

I was born in Taft, California. I graduated from Hanford High school, received my LVN training at Clovis Adult school, in Fresno California. I enjoy reading and watching movies. In my free time. I have been married for 36 years, have two beautiful daughters, and two wonderful grandsons.

Denise Lopez
Activities Director
I began my journey at Redwood Springs in June of 2011, amazed by the facility and the people that work at Redwood. I have been truly blessed since day one to be a part of this team. While in Community College I started volunteering at another facility where I was hired on and worked for nine years, eight of those years as the Activity Director. My passion in life is working with the elderly. I love being able to make a diffrence in the lives of my residents, and they joy they bring to me. Elders have so much life experience that needs to be respected and can be learned from, it makes working in activities ever-changing and always rewarding. I am a Hanford West High School graduate and took courses at West Hills College Lemoore. Born in Midland, Texas, but raised in Hanford, the Central Valley is home to me. I love to cook for my friends and family and spend my free time with them. My goals in life are to one day be a wife, mother, and own my own Harley so I can go riding with my God Father and friends.

Tiffinni Garcia
Registered Dietitian; Director of Nutrition Services
Born and raised in Visalia, California. Attended CSU Chico and CSU Fresno. Received Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Food Science with an option in Dietetics and Food Administration fromCSU Fresno. Completed the Dietetic Internship Program at Porterville Developmental Center after receiving my BS. I am married with three amazing children who are the light of my life. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, camping, wine tasting, and shopping. I have worked in all facets of the healthcare industry and have true passion working in skilled nursing. My goal is to make a difference each day I come to work at Redwood Springs. Working with others who are the same passion as I, is what sets Redwood Springs apart from other facilities of this kind. I feel truly blessed to be apart of such an amazing team.

Aaren Agacid

I have lived in Visalia since I was 12 years old. I graduated from Redwood High School, CSU Chico, and completed the LVN program from the Visalia Adult school. I enjoy watching movies with my wife and spending time with family and friends. One of the many favorites I have about Redwood Springs is the staff. They are the friendliest, most helpful, and happiest people you will ever meet.

Randall Bolding

I come from a large family seven brothers, six, sisters, one sister is my twin. I enjoy all types of woodworking hobbies. I enjoy baseball, my seven brothers and I make a special trip to Arizona to enjoy to enjoy spring training each march. I love being part of the team here that makes our residents stay a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable one.

Ron Lipps
MDS Coordinator
I am married with three children, and five grandchildren. My wife and I love to travel and enjoy our family time. My interest include biblical studies, genealogy, sports - especially boxing. I have one year of community college. My favorite things about Redwood Springs is my co-workers because we have such great team players that are warm and personable people, which creates a comfortable working environment.

Mary Silva
Assistant Director of Nursing
I was hired at Redwood Springs Healthcare Center in December 2010. I was born in Terceira, Azores and immigrated to the U.S. in 1968. My entire school education took place in the U.S. where I graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1981. I am fluent in the portuegese language. I have been working in the health care field since 1996. I was a CNA for 6 1/2 years, an RNA for 3 years, and then proceeded to get my license in Vocational Nursing in 2007. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, reading, watching movies, barbecuing, and swimming. I have been married to my husband Gilbert for 31 years, we have two children, Kimberline and Christopher, and one grandson, Ethan, who is the sunshine of my life. My passion is working with the elderly, they are wonderful historians.

Trish Lofstedt
Assistant Director of Nursing
I was born in Tulare, CA and have lived in Visalia all of my life. I earned my Associates of Science degree in Licensed Vocational Nursing from San Joaquin Valley College in 2011. I joined the team at Redwood Springs in December of 2011. I have been happily married to my husband Justin Lofstedt since 1996 and together we share a beautiful daughter named Avery. I love all outdoor activities and spending time with my family. As a child, I always wanted to be a nurse and I am blessed to now have a career in health care.
